Can't see pinged skills - is it just me?
Hello all - finally signed up to this place after lurking here for some time, so I thought I might as well be annoying and make my first post a needy one. :P
In towns and outposts, when my teammates and indeed myself, ping their skills (i.e. hold ctrl and click their skillbars), I don't see their skills listed in the chat window - what it says instead is "My skills are [charactername's skills]". This has only started happening in the last few weeks, it used to work just fine. No one else I've spoken to seems to have this problem, so the question is, is it just me? Is it something I'm doing wrong, is there some obscure option I've changed without realising it? Any ideas would be appreciated! |

Complaints aside, yeah. Click the list to see the skills. Now you can also save them as templates. Also cuts down on chat spam. For the better, IMO. |

*slaps self on forehead* I see what you meant now (just tried it)... I obviously didn't read the notes for whichever update that feature was added in, leading to me looking like a prat in this thread. And I'm always telling other people to read the *ahem* manual as well... how embarrassing :P

Yeah, how retarded of me... posting in the 'Questions & Answers' forum , which is subtitled 'Basic Questions about Guild Wars' to find the answer to a basic question about Guild Wars.

Lol, don't get to upset about it Doomus. There's nothing wrong with asking when you don't know the answer, that's what Q&A for. But anyway next time in case of a doubt, click first and ask question later.

But seriously, you shouldn't feel bad or let any of the pricks who might post get to you. There have been posts about this very same question from other people, so you aren't alone. Like everyone has already said, just click the different colored text. |
